I wasn’t a fan of how the SC Carnival Citi bonus was structured around purchases, especially when other sweepstakes casinos give out a small amount of free SC daily.

It isn’t necessary to make a purchase at Carnival Citi, but there is the option. On your first purchase, there’s a special deal where you can get 3,000,000 Coins with a free bonus of 17,000 SC for $4.99. Usually, the $4.99 package would only give you 500,000 Coins and 5,000 free SC.

I went for this offer for my first purchase, but it would have been great to see a wider range of first-purchase deals for new players to cater to different budgets.

Lucky Draws

Carnival Citi has lucky draws, where players are randomly selected to win prizes. As you play games, you’ll earn tickets that will give you a shot at the daily, weekly, and monthly prize pools.

For every 10,000 SC played, you’ll be awarded three tickets. These are then entered into three separate draws for each day, week, and month. The more tickets you earn, the more chances you have to win.

• Daily Luck Draw: Happens every night at midnight, offering 10,000 SC across winners.
• Weekly Lucky Draw: Held every Sunday at midnight, offering 25,000 SC in prizes.
• Monthly Lucky Draw: On the last day of the month, this one has 100,000 SC worth of prizes.
• There are also Special Event Lucky Draws tied to holidays or big events.

It’s a fun concept, and I like the idea of different prize pools. Generally, I found it fairly easy to earn tickets and get entered in the prizes just by playing regularly. That said, I did make a few purchases during my review period, so having those free bonuses of SC definitely helped speed things up. If you’re planning to play completely for free, it might take a bit longer to earn tickets.

Social Media Giveaways

Carnival Citi frequently has giveaways on their Instagram, Facebook, and X. All you need to do to participate is answer the question in the comments of a post to be in for a chance to win a prize. They also post bonus codes where you can get free bonuses; it’s as simple as that.

To give you an example, they recently posted an announcement of a new game. Players just had to provide the name of the game in the comments for the chance to be one of the lucky winners. My Experience Opening an Account at Carnival Citi

Getting started at Carnival Citi was fast and straightforward. The entire process took me just a few minutes from start to finish.

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

1. Load the website: Starting off, click the “New User” icon in the top right of the site to begin the registration process. You can do this on a desktop or a mobile, but I thought that it was easier to sign up on my laptop.

3. Verify phone number: After this, you’ll need to enter your phone number. A code will be sent to you, which you have to enter on the site.

What I Liked And Disliked About Carnival Citi

There were few features that stood out during my Carnival Citi review period. The welcome bonus is on the bigger side compared to others, and I liked that players could collect 1,000,000 Coins for free every day without spending anything. The Lucky Draws offered daily, weekly, and monthly prizes, while I was impressed by how generous and regular their social media giveaways were. You also won’t find any live dealer tables on the platform, and, during my Carnival Citi review at least, there were no regular table games either. So, in terms of both variety and quantity, I was underwhelmed.

Slots

Slots make up the majority of the library, with over 250 games. All of these titles are provided by Game Media Works. Many of the titles were new to me, which I appreciated as I enjoy discovering fresh games instead of playing the same old options across every site. There’s a wide variety of themes across the selection, and each title felt unique in that regard.

That said, there were a few things that I disliked about them. First, I’m never a big fan of platforms that rely on just one software provider. There’s only so much variety you can have from a single developer’s style before it starts to feel repetitive.

The second, and bigger issue for me, was the overall quality of the games. I’m used to playing modern, polished slots with crisp graphics and well-designed features. Other Games

Carnival Citi has a selection of other games, like Keno and Solitaire. I counted five Keno titles and three Solitaire options. These titles served as a refreshing break from the standard games. I’ve never seen Solitaire offered at a sweepstakes casino before, so I had a particularly fun time testing it out.

Similar to my issue with table games, there is an “Arcade” section, but nothing appears under it for me.

Carnival Citi’s Payment And Redemption Experience

Games can be enjoyed for free at Carnival Citi by receiving Coins and Sweeps Chips through promotions. For example, after I signed up, I was given a bonus of 10,000,000 Coins and 5,000 SC. Every day, I also received a free daily bonus.

Although it isn’t necessary to spend any money, you do have the option to purchase Coins. Typically, you’ll also receive a free bonus of Sweeps Chips, which can be redeemed for real rewards.

Nothing really stood out to me about the banking process at Carnival Citi; it’s similar to what you’d see from other sweepstakes casinos, with five basic payment methods and redemptions available through just bank transfer only.

Coins can be purchased at Carnival Citi with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Trustly. While I was pleased to find American Express and Discover were available, which isn’t common, I would have liked to see further options such as Apple Pay or an e-wallet.

For my first purchase, I went with the special deal for new players for $4.99. I used my AMEX for it; it was a simple process that just required me to enter my card information. As well as American Express, other banking cards accepted include Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. For this Carnival Citi review, I also tested out these methods and the process was exactly the same.

Here’s how to make a purchase:

2. Select a package.
3. Choose a payment method.
4. Enter your financial information.
5. Confirm the transaction in your banking app or wallet (if needed).

If you’d rather use a bank transfer, Trustly is available as an option. You just need to log in to your online banking through the Trustly portal to complete the payment.

Redemptions

Sweeps Chips can be redeemed for cash prizes after they’ve been won through gameplay. Cash prizes are only processed through Trustly. I was disappointed that there weren’t any other options, but it also wasn’t a big surprise, as it’s common for sweepstakes casinos to only offer redemptions through bank transfer. Usually, however, most do offer gift card redemptions.

At most sweepstakes casinos, 1 Sweeps Coin is equal to $1 when redeemed. However, at Carnival Citi, it is scaled up so that 1,000 Sweeps Chips have the same value as $1. You’ll need a minimum of 100,000 SC to request a prize of $100. Personally, I feel like this just overcomplicates things for players, and I prefer when it’s 1:1.

After I’d collected 100,000 SC through gameplay, I was eligible for a redemption. It took three days to be processed and arrive in my bank account. The downside of bank transfer is that it is typically slower than methods like debit cards, e-wallets, or gift cards.

Overall User Experience – Is Carnival Citi Fun To Play At?

Carnival Citi has a bright and energetic interface that is simple enough to navigate and explore. Simply put, I found it to be mediocre; the design was more outdated than charming, the performance was sluggish, and it had a general lack of refinement.

Carnival Citi has a simple and colourful design, but for me, it misses the mark. The platform has a retro look, but it comes across as a bit outdated, unlike other sweepstakes casinos that manage to pull off a fun but modern design. While everything is laid out clearly and navigation is easy enough, the overall design just doesn’t have the clean, streamlined feel that I’ve come to expect from modern platforms.

I ran into a few technical issues while using the site. There were multiple times when I clicked on a category and nothing would load; it would just be a blank screen. The same thing would happen when I would try to look at the coin packages. I eventually figured out that switching the browser solved the issue, but it was rather annoying.

I had no choice but to contact an agent for even the simplest questions for my Carnival Citi review, which seemed like a waste of time for both me and them.
